Hood Photo Challenge

a 52 week project, year 2

Month

December 2014

Week 25, Sunday, Meghan.

Here I combined the blurred bokoh tree lights with my cute little kiddo – bam! Beautiful picture!! Love it!

Pic was taken in the middle of the day: all house lights off, all window shades drawn, Christmas tree lights on (obviously 🙂 ).

f/2, 1/160, ISO 800, SOOC.

Week 24, Sunday?, Meghan.

I was trying to get the big bulb lights by taking a picture of the tree out of focus. I wish the background was lighter, though – I’ll have to try this again earlier in the morning. This picture was taken around 3 o’clock.

(Side note: also turns out our tree is a little too big to fit in the frame of my lens… who would have thought…)

f/1.8, 1/100, ISO 640, SOOC.

Week 24-27 Challenge – holiday edition

As we discussed, we’re going to loosen up our challenges for the holidays. Here’s a link to many other links for how-to’s on holiday pictures. http://clickitupanotch.com/2013/11/capture-your-christmas-photography-series/

Remember to:
– tell us about the effect you were trying

– post a picture by Sunday night!

Happy holiday photographing! (and happy half-way point for our photo challenges!!)

Week 23, Thursday, Tricia

This challenge was hard then I expected because it was hard to find just one light source.

Taken with my Canon Rebel T3 and my new lens

ISO 800, F1.4, 1/60

Week 23, Thursday, Meghan.

This was my first attempt at split lighting – rough week… not enough time to play around (as if there ever is!). Pretty cool effect with lighting, though – I have a couple more ideas!

f/1.8, 1/30, ISO 200, SOOC. Taken later afternoon-ish, ornament was pretty close to a south facing window.

Week 23 challenge

This weeks challenge they try split lighting. Here is a link to help us. http://clickitupanotch.com/2012/04/split-lighting-made-easy-with-5-steps/
